Promoting health and wellbeing

We value providing residents with safety and a high quality of life at Bethany Manor, including providing spiritual care, worship services, and nutrition services.

Spiritual Care

Spiritual Care is a priority in our faith-based organization. The Spiritual Care Coordinator offers a ministry of presence and caring, non-judgmental listening, prayer, and rituals of healing. This includes visiting residents in the hospital, funeral planning, and leading worship. Contact Rev. Lois Siemens at lois@b55.ca or (306) 229-3288.

I’m OK Door Hangers

We encourage residents, especially those living alone, to hang the “I’m OK” door hanger at bedtime and to remove it upon rising. This is an opportunity for neighbours to look out for one another. If a door hanger is visible at 11 AM, residents inform the Office.

Nutrition

Food services provide nutritious, well-balanced meals. If you have special diet restrictions, please inform the kitchen. Most therapeutic diets (including diabetes, allergies, etc.) can be accommodated when a monthly meal pass has been purchased. Contact the Food Services Manager at (306) 380-7920.

Worship Services

The Worship Committee plus the Spiritual Care Coordinator, oversee the weekly Sunday morning worship service in the Fellowship Centre. Our supporting Mennonite churches, and invited guests, enrich our worship. The service time is 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM. Contact Rev. Lois Siemens at lois@b55.ca or (306) 229-3288.
